JOB DESCRIPTION
Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field
At least 1 year of experience working with COBOL or mainframe languages
Understanding of JCL, VSAM, or file handling in a mainframe environment
Knowledge of SQL and working with databases (DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server)
Basic debugging and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
Preferably: experience with Fujitsu COBOL or Micro Focus COBOL
REQUIREMENTS
Analyze and convert COBOL modules from mainframe to .NET COBOL
Execute conversion code according to project guidelines
Write and execute unit tests for converted modules
Collaborate with the QA team to ensure code quality
Document changes and mapping between the old/new system
Participate in bug fixing and UAT support
