JOB DESCRIPTION
Minimum 5 years of experience with COBOL, including at least 2 years working in a mainframe environment (Fujitsu, IBM, or equivalent)
Practical experience with legacy system migration or modernization projects
Proficient in MicroFocus .NET COBOL or Visual COBOL
In-depth understanding of mainframe architecture: JCL, batch processing, CICS, file system
Experience with migration and conversion tools
Ability to design technical solutions and solve complex problems
Leadership and mentoring skills for junior teams
Good English communication skills (working with Japanese/international partners is an advantage)
High priority: experience with Fujitsu COBOL85, AIM/DC, or Symfonware
REQUIREMENTS
Designing the overall migration strategy and roadmap
Developing coding standards and conversion guidelines for the project
Reviewing code and ensuring the technical quality of the entire project
Handling complex technical issues during the migration process
Collaborating with the client and stakeholders on technical requirements
Mentoring and supporting the development of skills for Junior and Intern workers
Assessing technical risks and proposing solutions
Participating in acceptance testing and ensuring project progress
