JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Delivery & Project Management
Take full ownership of project delivery for Vietnamese clients and foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) in Vietnam.
Manage the entire project lifecycle, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management.
Lead and coordinate offshore delivery teams in Vietnam, including resource allocation, performance management, and people development.
Ensure high-quality project delivery, compliance with SLAs, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Manage change requests, project issues, and escalations throughout the project execution.
Oversee project budgets, control delivery costs, and ensure project margins are achieved in line with the approved business plan.
2. Bodyshop / IT Outsourcing (ITO) Management
Manage the full lifecycle of IT staffing (Bodyshop/ITO) engagements, including resource allocation, onboarding, ramp-up, and ramp-down based on customer requirements.
Participate in technical recruitment and candidate screening to ensure high-quality talent delivery.
Manage consultants' timesheets, monitor billing activities, and collaborate with the Finance team on contract settlement and invoicing.
Develop monthly and quarterly capacity plans, forecast resource demand, and work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure timely staffing.
Monitor and evaluate consultant performance throughout the engagement, addressing performance issues and customer feedback when necessary.
Proactively identify opportunities for account growth and upselling, working closely with the Sales team to expand existing accounts.
3. Technical & Solution Management
Gather, analyze, and understand customer requirements across various technology domains, including:
Cybersecurity & Information Security
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Retail Systems - Other technology domains within the company's service portfolio
Collaborate with Solution Architects and Technical Leads to design scalable, feasible, and customer-oriented solutions.
Review technical designs and implementation plans to ensure alignment with customer expectations and business objectives.
4. Presales & Business Development
Actively participate in presales activities, including:
Requirement analysis and clarification
Proposal preparation and solution design
Effort estimation, resource planning, and cost estimation
Contract negotiation and service scope definition
Present technical solutions and delivery strategies to customers in the Vietnam market.
Serve as the key liaison between customers, technical teams, and the Sales organization.
Support project kick-off and ensure a smooth handover from the presales phase to project delivery.
Collaborate with the Sales team to identify new business opportunities and expand existing customer accounts.
5. Stakeholder Management & Communication
Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and senior management.
Establish long-term, trusted partnerships with customers as the primary delivery owner.
Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts across cross-functional teams and customer organizations.
Prepare project status reports, financial reports, and regular management reports for leadership.
6. Onsite Support & Business Travel
Be available to work onsite at customer locations when required.
Coordinate and support customer visits to Vietnam, including offshore team meetings, workshops, and business discussions.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years of experience in the IT industry, including at least 3 years in a Project Manager, Delivery Manager, or equivalent role.
Proven experience managing teams of 10 or more members and/or leading multiple projects simultaneously.
Hands-on experience working with Vietnamese clients (both government and private sectors) and/or FDI clients in Vietnam.
Experience with or strong understanding of IT Outsourcing (ITO), IT Staffing (Bodyshop), or Managed Services, including contract management, billing, and resource management.
Strong technical background in software development and/or system integration.
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience managing project budgets, cost control, and project profitability (margin management).
Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
English (Required): Professional working proficiency with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Japanese (Preferred): Business communication skills; JLPT N2 or above (or equivalent) is highly preferred.
Experience or strong knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
Cybersecurity / Information Security
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Retail Systems, POS, ERP, or other enterprise business applications
Experience working directly with Japanese companies, English-speaking clients, or multinational organizations.
Experience participating in technical recruitment, candidate interviews, and technical talent evaluation.
Experience working in a System Integration (SI) company or IT Consulting environment.
Previous experience as an Account Manager or a proven track record in account development, client relationship management, or business expansion is a strong advantage.
