JOB DESCRIPTION
Join large-scale COBOL migration projects for Japanese enterprise clients• Analyze existing COBOL systems running on Fujitsu Offcon / Mainframe• Define migration plans and NetCOBOL or Pure Java rewrite approaches with Japanese clients• Lead reviews of migration policies, converted source code, test cases, evidence, and project documents produced by the offshore team• Ensure system quality, stability, and maintainability after migration• Manage technical Q&A, project progress, quality, and issues• Explain and coordinate technical matters directly with Japanese clients• Represent the Project Leader in client communication when required
REQUIREMENTS
Required experience:• Business-level Japanese communication skills, equivalent to JLPT N2 or above, with the ability to explain and coordinate technical matters with clients• 4+ years of software development experience using Java, .NET, COBOL, or similar technologies• Experience analyzing existing systems and defining migration or rewrite approaches• Experience reviewing source code, test cases, evidence, and technical documents• Experience verifying system behavior and results before and after migration• Quality management and technical issue-handling skillsPreferred experience:• Experience in large-scale system migration projects, such as COBOL to Java, VB to .NET, on-premises to cloud, or database migration• Knowledge of Mainframe, COBOL, or Fujitsu Offcon• Knowledge of batch processing and large-scale data processing• Experience in client communication, leading reviews, or supporting a Project Leader
BENEFITS
Bonuses: Twice a year (in July and December).
