JOB DESCRIPTION
Work directly with clients, end users, and business executives to understand business operations, identify problems, and analyze software system needs.
Receive high-level requirements and proactively conduct workshops, interviews, and Q&A sessions to clarify business and system requirements.
Quickly understand new business domains, identify implicit or unclear needs, and recommend appropriate system solutions.
Analyze and translate business requirements into deliverables such as BRDs, SRSs, functional specifications, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, business flows, system flows, wireframes, and basic design documents.
Present, explain, and align requirements, documents, and proposed solutions with clients, including middle management and senior executives.
Proactively identify unclear, conflicting, unreasonable, or high-risk requirements and recommend timely solutions.
Review and improve documents prepared by clients or other Business Analysts and manage the document review and approval process.
Communicate and explain requirements to Project Managers, Developers, Testers, UI/UX Designers, and other project stakeholders.
Work closely with the delivery team throughout the design, development, and testing phases to address business and requirement-related questions.
Manage project scope, change requests, and traceability between requirements, design documents, implemented functions, and acceptance criteria.
Perform high-level functional verification to ensure that all required functions have been implemented correctly and completely. This role does not replace detailed testing by the QA team but serves as the final BA/offshore owner for requirement completeness and consistency.
Support clients in preparing UAT scenarios, conducting acceptance testing, and resolving issues.
Assign tasks, review deliverables, and ensure the quality of work produced by other Business Analysts within the project.
Mentor and coach junior and mid-level Business Analysts in business analysis, documentation, and client communication.
Participate in discovery, solution consulting, and presales activities when required.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Strong foundational knowledge of IT, software systems, and the software development life cycle.
At least five years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects.
Proven hands-on experience as a project Business Analyst; experience working in an IT outsourcing company is preferred.
Ability to quickly understand new business domains, analyze problems, and translate business needs into clear system requirements.
Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, managing, and clarifying requirements directly with clients.
Ability to recommend solutions and explain business processes and system functions to clients and senior business executives.
Experience creating and reviewing BRDs, SRSs, functional specifications, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, business flows, system flows, wireframes, and basic design documents.
Experience reviewing documents, assigning tasks, and mentoring junior and mid-level Business Analysts.
Strong communication, presentation, consulting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong logical and critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to clarifying incomplete requirements.
Knowledge of or experience with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.
Experience using Jira, Confluence, Figma, Miro, Draw.io, Visio, or similar tools.
Knowledge of SQL, APIs, system integration, or database design is an advantage.
Excellent Vietnamese communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
Working-level English sufficient for reading technical documents, communicating via email or chat, and participating in basic meetings.
Japanese reading or communication skills are an advantage; JLPT N2 or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
