JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and optimize scalable backend systems for enterprise applications. You will be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and system design to implementation, production support, and technical mentoring.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Technical Leads to analyze business requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework.
Build high-quality RESTful APIs with proper validation, authentication, authorization, error handling, and logging.
Implement business logic, transaction management, and both synchronous and asynchronous processing.
Design and optimize database structures, SQL queries, indexes, transactions, and data migration strategies.
Integrate with internal and external systems through REST APIs, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologies.
Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, security, and system performance.
Work closely with the DevOps team on build automation, CI/CD pipelines, deployment, environment configuration, and troubleshooting.
Investigate and resolve production issues by performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive solutions.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, API documentation, and handover documents.
Mentor Junior and Mid-level developers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Contribute to system architecture improvements, development standards, and engineering best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 7 years of backend development experience.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot/Spring Framework.
Proven experience delivering at least 2–3 production projects, preferably enterprise-scale applications with multiple modules, high traffic, or complex system integrations.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, or other enterprise software development methodologies.
Strong proficiency in Java Core, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, JDBC, or MyBatis.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, SOLID principles, and Clean Code practices.
Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
Strong SQL optimization skills, including query tuning, indexing, transaction management, and data processing.
Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Microservices architecture, layered architecture, and distributed systems is an advantage.
Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
