JOB DESCRIPTION - SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST - RETAIL/POS
We are looking for a Middle/Senior Business Analyst with practical experience in the Retail sector, particularly in POS and/or Kiosk.
The ideal candidate should understand retail business operations from both a business and systems perspective, including store operations, sales, inventory, pricing, promotions, customer relations, and payment-related processes.
This position is responsible for analyzing business requirements, understanding retail operational processes, participating in the implementation of POS/Kiosk solutions, and translating business needs into clear system requirements.
Candidates will also have the opportunity to expand their knowledge to other business domains such as ERP, CRM, and Omnichannel during their career development.
Experience with POS platforms in Vietnam such as iPOS.vn, VietPOS, KiotViet, or equivalent POS solutions will be preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
Work directly with clients, business stakeholders, and end users to gather, analyze, and clarify requirements; proactively identify the actual needs behind the requirements.
Analyze and describe end-to-end retail/POS business processes, from products, pricing, promotions, sales, payments, returns, to shift closing and reconciliation.
Analyze issues in store/POS operations and translate them into clear system requirements.
Analyze As-Is processes and support the development of To-Be processes that align with actual operations and system capabilities.
Identify business rules, operational scenarios, exceptions, and edge cases in the sales and POS operation process.
6. Analyze dependencies and data flows between POS and related systems such as ERP, Inventory, CRM, Payment Gateway, E-commerce/Kiosk.
II. Documentation and Specifications
Building and updating business documents:
Business Requirement Document (BRD)
Building wireframes, user flows, and prototypes at an appropriate level to describe requirements and solutions.
Using tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, FigJam, Miro, or equivalent tools to model and present solutions.
Ensuring requirements are fully and clearly communicated to the development team.
Clarifying requirements during the Development and Testing phases.
III. Implementation Support
Collaborating with the Project Manager, Developer, QA, and stakeholders during implementation.
Participating in POS/Kiosk implementation, rollout, or system improvement projects.
Assisting in building test scenarios and performing acceptance testing (UAT).
Assisting in training and guiding end users.
Monitor and support the handling of business-related issues.
Assist in analyzing the root causes and proposing solutions for operational problems.
I. PREFERRED BUSINESS DOMAIN
Retail / POS: POS, Store Operations, Sales, Product / SKU, Pricing, Promotion, Payment, Returns & Refunds, Cash Management, Shift Management, Reconciliation, Inventory, Loyalty, Multi-store Operations
Kiosk: Self-service Kiosk, Ordering Flow, Customer Journey, Payment, Promotion, Order Processing, POS / Kiosk Integration
Knowledge of ERP/CRM operations is an advantage.
IV. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
4–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
Practical experience in the Retail business domain.
Experience working with POS systems.
Preference will be given to candidates who have participated in the deployment, rollout, operation, or improvement of POS systems.
Experience working directly with clients, business stakeholders, or end users.
Ability to analyze business processes and translate them into system requirements.
Ability to analyze business rules, operational scenarios, exceptions, and edge cases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to learn quickly and expand into other business domains.
Strong communication, presentation, and workshop skills.
Business-oriented mindset, rather than focusing solely on system functionality.
Ability to work effectively with both Business and Technical teams.
Ability to read and understand English documents and communicate in English.
Proactive in learning and exploring new business domains.

Experienced in models such as: Retail Chain, F&B Chain, Convenience Store...
Experienced in integrating POS with ERP, CRM, Inventory, Payment Gateway or E-commerce.
Participated in real-world ERP or CRM implementations.
Experience with SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Oracle NetSuite is an advantage.
Ability to build and standardize business documentation.
