JOB DESCRIPTION – TEST LEAD
We are looking for an experienced Test Lead to lead and manage testing activities for software projects serving global clients, with a strong focus on the Singapore market and government projects. The candidate will work closely with customers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality and successful delivery.
Lead the overall test strategy, test planning, execution, and reporting for assigned projects.
Manage and coordinate QA/Test teams, including task assignment, progress tracking, and performance monitoring.
Review requirements and prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test reports.
Ensure appropriate test coverage for functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT testing.
Work directly with Singapore and global customers to clarify requirements, testing scope, issues, and release readiness.
Manage defect lifecycle, analyze root causes, and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
Monitor testing progress, risks, issues, and quality metrics; provide regular status reports to project stakeholders.
Support UAT and production release activities, including release quality assessment and go/no-go recommendations based on testing results.
Establish and improve QA processes, standards, and best practices across projects.
Mentor and guide QA engineers to improve testing skills and overall team capability.
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in Software Testing, with at least 2 years in a Test Lead / QA Lead role.
Strong experience in software testing processes, test management, and defect management.
Experience working with Global clients, preferably with Singapore customers.
Experience working on Government / Public Sector projects is highly preferred.
Good understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum.
Strong experience in UAT, regression testing, integration testing, and release management.
Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Good English communication skills, especially in meetings, requirement clarification, issue discussion, and customer communication.
Experience with test management/issue tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
Experience with Singapore Government projects, government agencies, or public-sector systems.
Experience working with strict quality, security, compliance, and documentation requirements.
Experience managing distributed or offshore/onsite QA teams.
ISTQB certification is a plus.
