JOB DESCRIPTION
Analyze the existing system (source code, database, business logic) and plan its migration to modern .NET (e.g., .NET Framework → .NET 8, WebForms/VB6 → ASP.NET Core).
Write Basic Design and Detail Design documents for assigned features.
Convert and refactor code, optimize performance, and ensure business behavior is preserved after migration.
Write unit tests that meet the project's coverage standards; take part in integration testing.
Develop both back-end (APIs, business logic, database) and front-end when needed.
Apply AI tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to analyze legacy code and to write code, documentation, and tests.
Review code and work with BAs, QA, PMs, and clients to clarify requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
At least 3 years of experience with C#/.NET (.NET Framework, .NET Core/.NET 6+, ASP.NET MVC/Web API).
Participated in at least 01 system migration or upgrade project (language, framework, database, or infrastructure).
Able to write clear, well-structured Basic Design and Detail Design documents.
Proficient in unit testing (xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest; Moq or equivalent).
Solid SQL Server (or Oracle/PostgreSQL) skills; Entity Framework/Dapper.
Good understanding of OOP, SOLID, and design patterns; proficient with Git.
Strong analytical thinking; able to read and understand legacy code and technical documents.
Full stack: front-end experience with Angular, React, or Vue; HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript.
Effective AI use: regularly uses GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc. to write code, generate unit tests, understand legacy code, and draft design documents; can give concrete examples of AI improving productivity.
Experience migrating from VB6, VB.NET, WebForms, WinForms, or Java to .NET Core.
Experience with cloud (Azure/AWS), Docker, and CI/CD.
Experience on Japanese (offshore) projects; Japanese or English reading skills for technical documents.
