JOB DESCRIPTION
Lead the architecture, research, development, and deployment of AI solutions specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Speech Recognition, Speech Synthesis, and Conversational AI.
Develop and optimize NLP models for text classification, Named Entity Recognition (NER), sentiment analysis, information extraction, semantic search, and natural language understanding.
Design and implement Speech AI solutions, including Speech-to-Text (STT/ASR), Text-to-Speech (TTS), Voice Activity Detection (VAD), Speaker Diarization, and Speaker Recognition.
Research, train, fine-tune, and optimize Deep Learning, Transformer-based models, and Speech Foundation Models for text and speech processing.
Develop multilingual NLP and Speech AI solutions, particularly for Vietnamese, English, and Japanese.
Design and optimize audio processing pipelines, including noise reduction, audio preprocessing, speech segmentation, feature extraction, and post-processing.
Build Conversational AI, Voicebot, Speech Analytics, and voice-driven automation solutions.
Evaluate and improve model quality using appropriate metrics such as WER, CER, F1-score, MOS, latency, and throughput.
Optimize model inference performance, real-time processing capabilities, and CPU/GPU resource utilization.
Design and deploy scalable AI services integrated with enterprise applications through APIs, microservices, and cloud/on-premises infrastructure.
Establish MLOps practices covering dataset management, model versioning, experiment tracking, deployment, and monitoring.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, architecture reviews, and code reviews for AI Engineers; establish reusable AI components and engineering standards.
Collaborate with BA, PM, Backend, Data Engineering, and DevOps teams throughout the development and delivery lifecycle.
Participate in requirement analysis, solution consulting, technical feasibility assessment, effort estimation, PoC development, and customer technical discussions.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in AI/ML development, including at least 3 years specializing in NLP or Speech AI and 2 years in a Technical Lead or equivalent role.
Strong proficiency in Python and at least one Deep Learning framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Solid understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, Attention Mechanisms, Transformers, and Sequence Modeling.
Hands-on experience with NLP models such as BERT, RoBERTa, PhoBERT, Sentence Transformers, or equivalent architectures.
Practical experience developing or customizing ASR/STT, TTS, or Speech Processing systems, with a strong understanding of speech pipeline components and challenges.
Experience with frameworks, models, or libraries such as Hugging Face Transformers, Whisper, wav2vec 2.0, NVIDIA NeMo, ESPnet, SpeechBrain, VITS, or equivalent technologies.
Strong understanding of audio preprocessing, feature extraction, noise reduction, VAD, speech segmentation, and speaker diarization.
Experience in dataset preparation, data annotation, data augmentation, model training, fine-tuning, and NLP/Speech model evaluation.
Familiarity with evaluation metrics such as Precision, Recall, F1-score, WER, CER, and TTS quality assessment methodologies.
Proven experience deploying at least one NLP or Speech AI solution into production.
Experience with Linux, Docker, Git, REST APIs, model serving, and CPU/GPU inference optimization.
Strong capabilities in solution architecture, complex technical problem-solving, engineering mentoring, and code quality management.
Good English communication and technical documentation skills.
Experience in multilingual NLP/Speech processing, particularly Vietnamese, Japanese, and English.
Experience developing Voicebots, Call Center AI, Speech Analytics, or real-time speech processing systems.
Experience optimizing ASR/TTS systems for low latency, streaming, voice quality, and GPU efficiency.
Experience with ONNX Runtime, TensorRT, Triton Inference Server, MLflow, or equivalent MLOps platforms.
Knowledge of LLMs, RAG, Conversational AI, and LLM integration with STT/TTS.
Experience working with Japanese or Singaporean customers, including presales, effort estimation, and technical proposal preparation.
